I’m new to this blogging game, and as I find my way I wanted to share with my followers the people who inspire me. Below is where I’ve been getting much of my influence for the past few months…
Beauty Industry:
JoshXO – Josh is an amazing haircutter / educator. His live online (and free) classes is an original concept. All of my students, past and present should watch his videos because they’re loaded with great insight and information, mostly about cutting. You can also check out ALL of his videos on Hairbrained here.
Blind Barber – Not just any old barbershop, also a speakeasy in East Village NYC. They are a very unique brand. This video here will give you an idea of what they’re all about. They’ve even collaborated with Dockers on their new Alph(a) Khaki line. Check that our here.
Haironthebrain – Her name is Valerie and she calls herself a hair obsessed L.A. girl. This blog is packed with great articles. Great for anyone, whether you’re in the industry or not. Check her blog out here.
Style/Fashion:
Marcus Troy – To me, nobody does it better than this guy. Marcus is the best in the business. He even has and app you can download. Check out Marcus Troy here.
William Yan – I love NYC, and William captures it like no other. ”Sartorial” inspired and takes it to another level. Check out William Yan here.
Artists/Writers:
Austin Kleon – This is where I learned how to “steal like an artist”. He says he’s a writer who likes to draw. So many great things here that inspires me. Check out Austin Kleon here.
Gapingvoid – I read Hugh Macleod’s book “Evil Plans” and it inspired me to start my blog. He’s a cartoonist who draws on the back of business cards and is very influential. Check Hugh out here.
